Report: Carol Burnett To Guest Star On "Glee"
Legendary comedic actress Carol Burnett will reportedly guest star on an upcoming episode of Fox's Emmy nominated musical comedy "Glee." According to "Entertainment Weekly," Burnett has signed on to play the mother of "Glee" character Sue Sylvester, played by Jane Lynch. The episode is slated to air in either October or November. In an earlier "Glee" episode, Lynch's Sylvester character described her mother as a famous Nazi hunter, but little else is known about the woman who raised Sue. The only other detail known about the Sylvester family tree is that Sue's older sister, Jean, suffers from Down Syndrome. Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle has also been confirmed to appear on the second season of "Glee." The Fox show will also focus upcoming episodes on pop culture phenomenons like "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" and Britney Spears.
