Rapper Ice-T Sees Driving Case Dismissed

Rapper and actor Ice-T is enjoying a clean legal slate in New York City. TMZ.com reports a traffic case against the "Law & Order: SVU" star was dismissed Tuesday morning. Ice-T was arrested for an alleged insurance lapse last month when New York police ran a records search after pulling him over for not wearing a seat belt. On Tuesday, the actor proved he did indeed have insurance the entire time. He also showed the state DMV's failure to keep proper records. Ice-T took to his Twitter feed after the ruling to share the good news. He wrote, quote, "I just walked outta court.. INNOCENT of ALL charges.. Case dismissed! All the haters that wished against me.. Can Eat A Hot Bowl of em."

Ice-T has been very vocal about his innocence since the day of his arrest. He said earlier this month that he believed his case would get dismissed and that he planned to file a lawsuit against either the DMV or the insurance company. The new season of Ice-T's "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" premieres on NBC on Wednesday, September 22nd at 9:00 p.m. Eastern.
