Man Celebrates 107th Birthday At McDonald's

A Florida man who recently turned 107 years old was celebrated in style at his favorite McDonalds late last week. When Jacksonville resident Harold Bergman and his wife stopped by the fast food franchise in their neighborhood last Thursday, they were surprised with a party celebrating Harold's big day. Balloons, decorations, and a large Big Mac-shaped cake had been arranged by the staff at the Beach Boulevard McDonalds. That's where Harold has stopped for a birthday snack for years. Bergman's caregiver, Eveyln Forderling, says the party was a surprise for a reason. Forderling commented, quote, "We didn't let him know because we knew he would fight it all the way, so I told him 'Wow, the drive-through is closed.' He kept telling me for the last week and a half, no parties. He's probably angry, but he's handling it really well."
