Jimmy Wayne Plans To Continue Making Music
Now that Jimmy Wayne has completed his "Meet Me Halfway" walk from Nashville to Phoenix, he can return his attention to his music career. But he notes that might not be as easy as it would seem. The singer admits being away from Nashville for seven months has taken its toll on his professional relationships. But he says he doesn't need all the trappings of the career to be heard. Wayne notes he's been writing songs, singing, and playing guitar for most of his life, and he's not about to stop now. The country star left Nashville on foot on January 1st and began a seven-month, 17-hundred mile trek halfway across the U.S. to raise awareness of homeless teens and young adults. He particularly wants to help those who have been involved in the foster care system, because as a former foster kid himself he understands their struggles.
