Jimmy Wayne Helping Feed The Hungry In Louisiana
Jimmy Wayne continues to do what he can to help people in need. The singer has joined with Bryan Foods for a second time to get nutrition to those who are hungry -- this time along the Gulf Coast. They recently contributed over 25-hundred pounds of food to the Mustard Seed Distribution Program through the Community Center of St. Bernard in Arabi, Louisiana. The program is supporting people who have been affected by the devastating oil spill earlier this year in the Gulf of Mexico. Wayne notes he welcomes opportunities to assist people in need, saying, quote, "I've been really fortunate to be able to team up twice now with Bryan Foods to get food delivered to people in cities hard hit by disasters."
Wayne and Bryan Foods also gave 25-hundred pounds of food to Nashville's Second Harvest Food Bank after the flood that hit Middle Tennessee back in May. The singer made that donation from the road. At the time he was on his "Meet Me Halfway" walk from Nashville to Phoenix, on his own campaign to raise awareness for homeless teens and young adults.
