Jerrod Niemann Doesn't Mind Getting Recognized For Chart-Topping Hit

Jerrod Niemann is seeing some of the effects of having a chart-topping single. The singer now has a much higher profile following the success of his breakthrough hit "Lover, Lover." He notes he's starting to get recognized, which he illustrates in recalling a recent incident that occurred while he was napping on an airplane. Niemann adds that he doesn't mind having his picture taken in public -- as long as he isn't performing. He also says he doesn't mind being so closely associated with the song. He admits he appreciates what "Lover, Lover" has done for his career, and gives much of the credit to songwriter Dan Pritzker for crafting the catchy tune. But he jokingly notes that if he had known little kids were going to start calling him by the song's title he would have covered The Eagles' "Desperado" instead.
