IHOP Mascot Attacked Outside Restaurant

A Washington man was arrested earlier this week for allegedly attacking the International House of Pancake's mascot. The "Bellingham Herald" is reporting that a 19-year-old woman was dressed as Suzie Pancake as she waved at passers-by on Tuesday afternoon. James Manas reportedly approached the woman and began yelling at her and hitting her costume with his hand. A passer-by attempted to stop Manas, but he fled to a nearby bus stop. The victim retreated inside the restaurant, at which time the manager called Bellingham Police. Authorities eventually located and arrested Manas, who told police he had just been joking. The 22-year-old was charged with disorderly conduct.
