Bristol Palin's Ex-Fiance To Run For Wasilla Mayor
Levi Johnston is keeping himself in the headlines by running for mayor of Wasilla, Alaska. The attempt to get elected is part of a new TV reality series called "Loving Levi: The Road to the Mayor's Office" that will follow the 19-year-old through his campaign. TMZ.com reports that initial filming will take place in Los Angeles with camera crews ultimately following Johnston back to Alaska. The announcement follows just days after Sarah Palin's 19-year-old daughter Bristol broke off her second engagement to Johnston. Regarding his campaign-turned-TV show, Johnston told Variety.com, quote, "It's something I want to do and the more I think about it and look into it, I think there's a possibility we can make it happen." A press release for "Loving Levi" says that the series will chronicle Johnston's Hollywood pursuits and his "red-neck" life as a single dad, skilled hunter, avid biker and wannabe politician looking for love and success back home in Alaska. Sarah Palin served as Wasilla's mayor before becoming Alaska's governor and later the failed Republican vice presidential candidate in the 2008 presidential election.
