BACK-TO-SCHOOL PREP STRESSFUL FOR PARENTS
With children heading back to school, parents are working to make sure their kids are well equipped for their classes. More than 65-percent of the moms and dads taking part in a Duracell poll say getting their kids ready for the start of a new school year is stressful. Seven out of ten note that school-issued supply lists are typically inadequate, and their kids need more things in order to be fully prepared for class. Electronics are becoming a bigger part of the kids' back-to-school needs, with two-thirds noting they're supplying their children with battery-operated equipment. A growing number of kids are also carrying cell phones to class -- with the OK of their folks. Nearly 80-percent of the parents approve of teens 15 and older having cell phones, and 90-percent feel their children are safer if they have a phone with them.
