Music stars LL Cool J and Toby Keith say they did not ask to be featured in Sarah Palin's new Fox News program, "Real American Stories." They also were not even approached by the network about being featured in the special. LL Cool J took to his Twitter feed to make it clear that he did not participate in the former Alaskan governor's show. He tweets, quote, "Fox lifted an interview I gave in 2008 to someone else & R misrepresenting to the public 2 promote Palins Show." On Wednesday, the rapper's segment was cut from the show's premiere episode after LL revealed he never agreed to appear on the Palin program.Toby Keith was also taken aback to find out he's one of the featured interviewees on the program. The country star's publicist Elaine Schock tells "The New York Times" she's discussed the situation with the singer, but notes she's, quote, "not going to comment on what Toby feels about it." However, she says she hasn't asked the network to cut Keith's segment from the show. Keith's interview also comes from 2008, when he talks about his patriotic tune, "Courtesy of the Red, White, And Blue (The Angry American)." Sarah Palin's "Real American Stories" premieres on Fox News Thursday at 10:00 p.m. Eastern.
