Darryl Worley is staging a series of songwriters showcases for charity. The singer will host the "Hitmakers" shows this spring and summer. The intimate concerts give songwriters a chance to play their hits and reveal what inspired the songs. Money raised will go to his Darryl Worley Foundation. Worley says, quote, "I always look forward to getting together with these great writers. We always have such a good time. Not only are you getting a chance to connect with the music you love and hear the stories behind your favorite songs, it's also a great opportunity to raise money and help a lot of people who need it."The first show, "Hitmakers on the Harbor," will feature Jim "Moose" Brown, who penned the Grammy Award-winning Alan Jackson-Jimmy Buffett collaboration "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere," and Walt Aldridge, whose collection of top ten hits including Heartland's "I Loved Her First" and Ronnie Milsap's "No Getting Over Me." The show, which will also include a fish fry dinner and silent auction, will take place at the Pier 57 boat dealership in Pickwick, Tennessee on May 14th.
