Teen Escapes Police, Returned To Jail By Mother
A Florida teenager's attempt to escape from the law was interrupted by his own mother. TCPalm.com is reporting that Ladarius Lekendric Lacey escaped police custody last Saturday after an officer fell asleep outside of his hospital room. Fort Pierce police immediately launched a search for the 18-year-old, but didn't find him until he was returned to the St. Lucie Regional Juvenile Detention Center in a blue jumpsuit and leg restraints by his mother. Lacey has been incarcerated on several charges including narcotics possession and possession of a concealed firearm. He is now facing a felony escape charge.
