Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Set To Induct Class Of 2010
A new group of artists is set for enshrinement into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame tonight. The Rock Hall will welcome musical acts Genesis, ABBA, The Stooges, The Hollies, and Jimmy Cliff. Record producer David Geffen will also be inducted as a non-performer with the Ahmet Ertegun Awards, as will songwriters Mort Shuman, Jesse Stone and Otis Blackwell, and songwriting teams Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil, and Jeff Barry and Ellie Greenwich. To be eligible for nomination into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, an act must have released its first single or album at least 25 years prior to the year of nomination. The 2010 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City. The Fuse Network will air the event live at 8:30 pm Eastern. It will also be streamed at www.fusetv.com.
