Reba McEntire Strikes Gold With Latest CD

Reba McEntire's latest CD has gone Gold. "Keep On Loving You" has topped the 500-thousand mark in U.S. sales, giving it the special certification. The singer says it's "always a thrill" to have an album go Gold. She also notes the project was a team effort, explaining, quote, "I have been blessed to get to record some great songs from great songwriters and then go into the studio and work with great producers and musicians." The country star adds, quote, "My Valory team, led by Scott Borchetta, have played a huge role in the success of this CD. There's a lot of hard work from a lot of people to make a Gold record possible. I'd like to thank everyone that has worked on this project and share this milestone with all of them." Reba's "Keep On Loving You" includes the hits "Strange," "Consider Me Gone," and her latest single, "I Keep On Loving You."

The accomplishment extends Reba's reign as the female country artist with the most sales certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America, and continues her streak of Gold-certified albums. Each of McEntire's studio albums since her 1984 effort "My Kind of Country" has achieved at least a Gold certification in sales.
