Queens Doctor Breaks Donkey Kong World Record Score

A Queens plastic surgeon is the new "King of Kong." Dr. Hank Chien recently set the world-record score for the classic arcade video game Donkey Kong, notching 1,061,700 points to beat the old record by ten-thousand points. The 35-year-old Chien says the world-record effort came during an over 21-hour game that began on February 26th and stretched into the wee hours of the following day at his home on the East Side. Chien says Twin Galaxies, the official score keeper of electronic games, reviewed his entry and confirmed he was the new world-record holder for Donkey Kong, breaking Billy Mitchell's world record. Chien says he's only been playing Donkey Kong for roughly six months, and was inspired by the 2007 documentary "King Of Kong" that featured Mitchell and other "Kong" aficionados.
