Jamey Johnson, Mac McAnally, Mac Davis Getting Alabama Honors

Jamey Johnson, Mac McAnally, and Mac Davis are being honored by their home state. The country stars have been tapped for induction into the Alabama Music Hall of Fame. Johnson is being added with the Alabama's Rising Star Award, in recognition of the critical acclaim and commercial success he's seen with his 2008 breakthrough CD "That Lonesome Song." McAnally, who's perhaps best known for the 2008 collaborative remake of his song "Down The Road" with Kenny Chesney, is earning the nod with the Arthur Alexander Songwriter's Award. Some of McAnally's other credits include Chesney's "Back Where I Come From," Steve Wariner's "Precious Thing," and Alabama's "Old Flame." Mac Davis will receive the Jerry Wexler Award. The country stars will be officially welcomed along with the other honorees at the Alabama Music Hall of Fame's 13th Induction Banquet and Awards Show, taking place at the Convention Center in Montgomery on March 25th.
