IRS Website Has Special Features For People With Disabilities
Taxpayers with disabilities can take advantage of several special features offered by the Internal Revenue Service. The IRS has been working to comply with a federal mandate to make its information technology accessible to people with disabilities. The agency offers most of its tax products in formats that include Braille, large print and speech-friendly PDFs. What are called "talking tax forms" work with special screen readers and software. More than 650 tax forms are available in an accessible format. There's more information about features meant to help people with disabilities at www.irs.gov
