Chris Evans In Negotiations To Be "Captain America"

Chris Evans may be returning to the big screen as another superhero. Deadline.com reports that Marvel Studios is working on a deal for the actor to star in the title role of "The First Avenger: Captain America." If Evans does don the Captain America cape, it will be a follow up to another "super" role. The 28-year-old played "The Human Torch" in "The Fantastic Four" franchise. Other big names previously rumored to be in the running for the "Captain America" gig included Channing Tatum and "The Office" star, John Krasinski.

Joe Johnston will direct "Captain America," the story of a Steve Rodgers, a young man who volunteers for a government research project that transforms him into a superhero.
