Sammy Kershaw has new recognition to his credit. The singer is the latest to be inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame. Kershaw says in a statement that he's, quote, "very proud and very, very honored to receive this from my home state of Louisiana. This induction is very special to me and I want to say a big thank you to all of my fans, the great people of Louisiana and to the LMHOF." Sammy was formally welcomed into the facility Saturday night with a special presentation during his concert in Lafayette, Louisiana. With his entry into the state's Music Hall Kershaw joins a growing list of inductees that includes Webb Pierce, Jerry Lee Lewis, Fats Domino, and Louis Armstrong.Kershaw is prepping for the release of his next album. The still-untitled effort, featuring his current single, "Better Than I Used To Be," is due in May.
