Man Hit By Same Train Twice In Two Weeks

A California man probably needs to find a new form of transportation. According to "The Orange County Register," the 57-year-old Costa Mesa resident was struck by the same train twice in two weeks. On February 8th, the man reportedly fell from the passenger platform and was dragged 87 feet by the train. The incident left the man without a left hand. On Tuesday morning, police were called back to the Irvine Transportation Center after receiving a report that the man had once again fallen onto the tracks. Fortunately, he didn't lose any limbs, and his injuries are not believed to be life threatening. Police are now investigating how the man wound up on the train tracks a second time. A mental health examination will be requested.
