Shania Twain's "Idol" Appearance To Air Tonight

Shania Twain is featured on tonight's edition of "American Idol." The hit FOX reality show, which launched its ninth season last week, is still showcasing the first-round try-outs that took place across the country last summer. The country star joined Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson, and Kara DioGuardi in Chicago last August to help evaluate the talent and determine which singers would be advancing to the Hollywood round. Twain was one of a few guest judges who participated in the show's initial audition phase. She followed Spice Girl Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham and R&B star Mary J. Blige in filling the judges' chair left vacant with Paula Abdul's departure. At the time, Ellen DeGeneres had not yet been tapped as Abdul's replacement.
