Sara Evans is now a published author. The singer's first novel, "The Sweet By and By," which she wrote with Rachel Hauck, arrived in stores earlier this month. She tells "Country Weekly" she, "can't wait for people to read it," noting, quote, "These are characters that I've had in my head for some time." Evans says she knew the direction she wanted the story to take, explaining that she insisted that the story take place in the South and that it dealt with mothers and daughters. She adds that there's a certain autobiographical aspect to the project, admitting, quote, "I wanted the main character to be strong. I think in many ways, she is me." "The Sweet By and By" is about redemption, forgiveness, and the search for true love.Evans is supporting her book with in-store appearances. Her next book signing is coming up at the Sam's Club in Hoover, Alabama on Saturday.
