Kenny Chesney Set For Houston Rodeo

Kenny Chesney is a new addition to the Houston Rodeo lineup. The singer, who isn't launching an official, extensive tour this year, has signed on to perform at one of the 2010 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo concerts next month. Chesney says he's looking forward to the date. He notes, quote, "You know, there are just some places that're sentimental favorites. The crowds are always so into it...and they're there for the music, they're there for the artists and they really get what we're trying to do. For a very long time, the Houston Rodeo was one of those places for me and the guys, so it's great that this year that I don't have my foot on the gas quite so much, I'm able to go back and play it!" Chesney will take the Houston Rodeo stage on March 4th.

Other country stars performing at Houston Rodeo include Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Toby Keith, and Keith Urban. Alan Jackson will perform on opening night March 2nd, while Rascal Flatts is on board for Salute to Our Troops Day March 10th. Brooks & Dunn is set to make their final Houston Rodeo appearance on March 20th. Dierks Bentley, Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, and Darius Rucker are also set for the 20-day event, along with Blake Shelton, Gary Allan, and the Eli Young Band.
