Darius Rucker: "I Feel More Relaxed In The Studio This Time"

Country vocalist Darius Rucker set the bar high with his 2008 release, "Learn to Live." While some artists might find it intimidating to try and follow up a platinum album, Rucker says pressure isn't something he's feeling. He tells "The Toledo Free Press," quote, "all we have to do is deliver the songs, and radio is probably going to play it." The "Alright" singer adds, quote, "It's up to us to come up with the great songs. I feel more relaxed in the studio this time." During his Hootie and the Blowfish days, Darius Rucker says he would spend weeks in the studio recording an album. Now that he's a solo artist, Rucker says he will fly to Nashville for just a few days at a time to work on new material. He adds, quote, "The only time I wish I didn't live in Charleston is when I am in Nashville recording."

A title and release date for Darius Rucker's next record has yet to be announced. On Friday, he will resume the American Living Unstoppable tour with Rascal Flatts in Uncasville, Connecticut.
