Country Stars To Pick Up Drivers And Irons For Charity

Clay Walker and Steve Azar will be picking up putters for charity. They're among the stars slated to hit the links for the 2010 Bob Hope Chrysler Classic golf tournament. The benefit event raises money for a variety of charities in the Palm Springs, California area. Country comedian Ron White is also on tap for the tournament, along with other musicians including Alice Cooper, The Doors' Robbie Krieger, former Eagle Don Felder, and KISS guitarist Tommy Thayer. In addition, actors Kurt Russell, William Devane, Kyle MacLachlan, Bruce McGill, and Chris O'Donnell; "Saturday Night Live" alum Kevin Nealon, "Burn Notice" star Jeffrey Donovan, and TV personalities John O'Hurley, Dr. Phil McGraw, and Alfonso Ribeiro are slated to participate. Also on board are hockey legend Jeremy Roenick; NFL greats Emmitt Smith, Vinnie Testaverde, and Sterling Sharpe; and former baseball star Greg Maddux.

The 2010 Bob Hope Chrysler Classic golf tournament will run from January 18th through the 24th at various courses in the Palm Springs, California area. The celebrity golfing will begin on the 20th. The Golf Channel will provide coverage of the event.
